Roman Mellenkamp, Leader of the Black Bishops, and Maldaciel du Barliée, Leader of the White Knights, hate each other more than anything else.

Maldaciel has killed Roman's brother during the war, therefor Roman has not only lost his brother but also has been forced to take his place as a leader.
Maldaciel has been captured by black soldiers for a long time, and the wounds on his face and hooves are still silent witnesses of this.
I'm sure these guys would flip a desk if they knew what their kids (or in Roman's case nephew) are doing behind their backs.
